I wanted everyone to get this information.  Here’s the latest from Operation Gratitude.

    Hello, and thanks for what you are doing. However, I am astounded that this hasn’t led the news here and elsewhere:

    National Guard soldiers who are not on active duty killed themselves this year at nearly twice the rate of 2009, marring a year when suicides among Army soldiers on active duty appear to be leveling off, new Army statistics show.

    And how about this: Active-duty soldiers have greater access to programs and mental health resources, Philbrick says

    so I guess it’s okay. Thanks for nothing, Military Family Association.
    Thanks, Congress, for cutting family program funding for the Guard.

    Thank you, America, for putting the burden of two wars on less than 1% of the population. And then forgeting we exist.
