It’s fun to imagine what books might be inside.
This photo reminds me of the children’s book, The Librarian of Basra, by Jeanette Winters, that tells the true story of a librarian in Basra and all she went through to save many of the books in the city’s main library during the initial onset of the war.
I know it’s Kirkuk and not Basra, but it’s like a full circle…does my heart good to know we’re trying to replace what was lost.
